GAVITA wins European product award

The GAVITA Pro 600 has recently been awarded the SoftSecrets European Product Award 2010 for best new Dutch product. The award was presented by Ed Rosenthal.

Readers of SoftSecrets in every European country could nominate a selection of products for the European product award. Dick ter horst, President of GAVITA Holland: "We have recently entered the Hydroponics market and this is our second product specifically developed for the hobby user who needs professional quality lighting. We put a lot of time and effort into developing this product together with our partner Philips. They understood that for optimal performance you need a synergy between the lamp and the ballst. This award is the icing on the cake for us."

The GAVITA Pro 600 is the first digital ballast that works on 230/240V, but drives the special Philips 400V 600W electronic lamp. This lamp was untill now only available for the professional horticultural market with a 400V ballast.
